This month, we look at Rob Milideo, Metro Account Manager - Northeast.
Hometown: Washington Township, located in Southern NJ.
Current Location: I reside in the home in which I was born. I kept the home, put additions on to it and we remodeled the entire home. It is a private lot and is a place where my family has created many new memories while still enjoying my memories.
Family: I am married with 3 children and have one grandson and the second on the way. Two dogs and a cat.
Education: Associates Degree from Rowan College of NJ.
Fun Fact: I was a volunteer fireman for 40 years and recently a model for LION.
3 Words to Describe Yourself: Knowledgeable, witty, adaptable.
Biggest Influence: My wife. She's made me such a better person in the last 20 years in many, many ways.
Hobbies: Travel, golf, lacrosse.
Sales Experience: I sold printing for about 10 years and have been selling to the fire service, as both a dealer and as a manufacturer representative for 22 years.
Tenure at Elbeco: I started in January 2023.
Favorite Elbeco Product and Why: With my roots deep in the fire service, I am excited to bring NFPA certified garments into the Elbeco family of products.
Favorite Part of Working for Elbeco: The sincere encouragement and positive support that I have experienced since my start. Believing in the product I am selling while having all the incredible resources at my disposal. These things have made for a simple transition into the uniform side of the business.
Biggest Highlight of Workday: Having the opportunity to meet new people in law enforcement and other services that I had not been involved with in the past.
Something You Learned About Yourself Through This Role: This role requires a more proactive sales role than previous. I have re-learned how enjoyable it is to "win" the chase. Finding creative ways to secure the appointment, whether it be talking to a receptionist or finding fire department instructors rolling hose in the parking lot to get the correct information. No, is not an option.
If You Weren't Working In This Role, What Would You Be Doing Instead? I would absolutely be selling services or equipment for First Responders. It is my passion and my expertise.
What Would You Like to Be Known/Remembered For? For being a kind, friendly and team-oriented person and co-worker.
Anything Else You Want To Share? Becoming part of the OneLION team has been a great experience. The professionalism that I have experienced in my few months has been fantastic. I am excited for the opportunity to be part of this growing department and its team.
Stay tuned for the next edition of this series to see who we highlight next.
